Our treatment policy is to do for patients what we’d be glad to have done for us. We try to give care that fits each patient as an individual.
We wanted to offer a place that’s easy for anyone to visit, where you can get treatment without worry. We wanted to ease pain and worry and protect the health of your mouth. That’s the idea 歯科ハミール高田88 grew out of.
Many people picture the dentist as painful or frightening. But the health of your mouth is directly connected to the health of your whole body. Left untreated, cavities and periodontal disease cause more than pain. They get in the way of everyday life, including eating and talking, and they’re also known to raise the risk of disease elsewhere in the body.
That’s why we aim to be a clinic you want to come back to: a clean, calm space, careful counseling, and treatment that’s mindful of pain. We listen closely to each patient’s concerns and recommend the treatment that fits them best.
Takadanobaba is an international neighborhood, home to many students and international students. We keep a Chinese-speaking interpreter on staff, so even if you’re not confident in Japanese, you can see us without worry. Our mission is to be the local community’s family dentist and keep protecting your oral health.

We value communication with our patients above all else. At your first visit, we take the time to ask in detail about where it hurts, what treatment you’re hoping for, and any concerns about cost or how long treatment will take.
Before any treatment begins, we explain the current state of your mouth, what treatment is needed, and how long it will take and cost, in plain language. We take the time to answer your questions until you’re satisfied, and only start treatment once you understand it. We want to put to rest worries like “the explanation was confusing” or “I’m not sure about the cost,” so you can feel at ease going into treatment.
Clear Aligner Orthodontics (Invisalign) with iTero
For clear aligner orthodontics (Invisalign), we use the iTero intraoral scanner. It captures a precise digital model of your teeth in a short time, without the discomfort of a traditional impression. Because the iTero scan lets us simulate your treatment before and after, you can see in advance how your teeth will move and how they’ll line up in the end.
iTero uses no radiation at all, so even young children and pregnant patients can come in for an orthodontic consultation without worry. Because the digital data can’t warp the way a physical impression can, it’s more accurate, which means more precise clear-aligner treatment.

Detailed Examination With Dental CT
We have a dental CT scanner, which shows details a regular X-ray can’t. For wisdom tooth extractions, seeing the tooth’s position and its distance from the nerve in three dimensions makes for a safer extraction. For implant treatment, it lets us study the thickness and shape of the bone in detail and plan the most suitable treatment.
A CT scan can catch problems hidden from view at an early stage, leading to the right treatment. We take a CT scan whenever it’s needed and walk you through the results in plain language.

Treatment That’s Mindful of Pain
We try to make treatment as pain-free as possible.
Before injecting anesthetic, we apply a topical numbing gel to soften the pain of the needle. An electric injector keeps the flow rate steady, which keeps pressure-related pain to a minimum, and we warm the anesthetic to near body temperature to reduce the sting of a temperature difference.
We also use high-magnification loupes to keep the amount of tooth we remove to a minimum. Even with a deep cavity, we look for ways to preserve the nerve using MTA cement-based pulp-capping therapy.
Open Weekends, Easy to Visit
We’re open until 7 p.m. on weekdays and 6 p.m. on weekends, so even if you’re busy with work or school during the week, you can take your time coming in on a weekend. We’re a 1-minute walk from Takadanobaba Station and set up to provide prompt care if you have sudden pain or swelling.
Multilingual Support, So You Can Feel at Ease
We keep a Chinese-speaking interpreter on staff, so we can help you in Chinese. Takadanobaba is an international neighborhood where many international students live. Even if you’re not confident in Japanese, you can communicate in Chinese and receive treatment without worry.
