First-Visit Guide

First

For First-Time Patients

歯科ハミール高田88

To help ease your worries, we aim for thorough counseling and clear explanations. Before starting treatment, we explain in detail the current state of your mouth, what treatment you need, how long it will take, and what it will cost, and only begin once you’re satisfied.

If anything is unclear, just call us. Our staff will walk you through it.

Making an Appointment

We see patients by appointment. Booking ahead reduces waiting and helps us prepare for your visit. You can book by phone, online, or through LINE.

You Can Come In Without an Appointment

If you need to be seen right away (for sudden pain or swelling, for example), you’re welcome to come in without an appointment. That said, we see patients with appointments first, so your wait may be longer. If it’s urgent, calling ahead helps us prepare for your visit.

Booking Your First Appointment

For a first visit, please allow about 30 to 60 minutes, including the consultation and examination. Please leave enough time in your schedule when you book. If you’re in pain or have swelling, let us know when you book, and we’ll prioritize emergency care.

What to Bring to Your First Visit

歯科ハミール高田88

Health Insurance Card

Please be sure to bring your health insurance card. Without it, you’ll need to cover the full cost of treatment yourself. If you show your card later within the same month, we’ll refund the difference. Please also be sure to let us know if your insurance details change.

Medication Notebook (If You Have One)

If you’re currently taking any medication, please bring your medication notebook. Since medication can affect treatment, it’s important for us to have accurate information. If you don’t have a medication notebook, it helps if you jot down the names of your medications beforehand.

Patient Registration Card (Returning Patients)

If you’ve been treated here before, please bring your patient registration card. If you don’t have it with you, just give us your name at reception and we’ll look up your chart.

Other

If you are receiving treatment elsewhere or have had treatment in the recent past, please bring a referral letter or X-rays to help us plan your care. You can also use your My Number card as your health insurance card.

Common Questions

Can I be seen without an appointment?

You’re welcome to visit us without an appointment, but since patients with appointments are seen first, your wait may be longer. We recommend booking ahead of time.

How long does a first visit take?

Please allow about 30 to 60 minutes, including the consultation, examination, diagnosis, and an explanation of your treatment plan. Please come with some time to spare.

Can I be treated on the same day?

A first visit generally covers emergency care and gathering diagnostic records (examinations). That said, if time allows, we try to begin treatment the same day wherever we can. Full treatment is usually planned around the results of your examination, so it typically starts on a later visit.

Can I bring my child with me?

Patients with children are welcome too. Children can stay with their parent in the treatment room.

Can you help me in Chinese?

We have a Chinese interpreter on staff, so we can help you in Chinese. Even if you’re not confident in Japanese, you can feel at ease visiting us.

I forgot my insurance card

Without your insurance card, you’ll need to cover the full cost of treatment yourself. If you show your card later within the same month, we’ll refund the difference.
