About Our Fees

At 歯科ハミール高田88, we provide clear information about our fees. We explain the cost before each treatment, and proceed only once you’re satisfied with the explanation.

Insured treatment covers basic dental care within the scope of health insurance. Self-pay treatment lets you choose materials and methods with superior appearance, function and durability. We propose the treatment plan best suited to each patient’s wishes, lifestyle and budget.

If you have any questions or concerns about cost, talk to our staff anytime during your visit. We’ll explain the treatment plan together with a detailed estimate.

Cost of Insured Treatment

Our clinic provides insured treatment under Japan’s health insurance system, covering basic dental care such as cavity treatment, periodontal disease treatment, extractions, root canal treatment and denture fabrication.

The cost of insured treatment depends on your co-payment rate under health insurance. For patients with a 30% co-payment, the cost of a first visit is typically around ¥3,000 to ¥5,000, though it varies depending on whether only records are taken or cleaning is also included. The cost changes depending on the examinations and procedures performed, so we will explain the details during your visit.

Please be sure to bring your health insurance card whenever you receive insured treatment. We ask that you show it at your first visit each month, and whenever your insurance card changes. If we are unable to confirm your health insurance card, you will pay the full cost at that visit, with the balance settled after confirmation.

About Self-Pay Treatment

Self-pay treatment offers materials and methods with superior appearance and function that aren’t available under insured treatment. We offer a range of treatment options to suit each patient’s wishes.

Clear-aligner orthodontics (Invisalign) is a discreet form of orthodontic treatment using transparent aligners. We offer several plans to suit your tooth alignment and preferences, so just ask us about them. We also offer Invisalign First for pediatric orthodontics.

Cosmetic dentistry and ceramic treatment offer results with the beautiful, natural appearance of real teeth and excellent durability. You can choose from a range of materials, including zirconia, e.max and hybrid ceramics. Because no metal is used, there is no risk of a metal allergy. We offer crowns, fillings and Angel Veneer, and ceramic treatment comes with a 5-year warranty (a partial charge may apply depending on how much time has passed).

Whitening improves yellowing and staining to help you achieve bright, beautiful teeth. We offer both in-office whitening and at-home whitening, so you can choose whichever suits your lifestyle and preferences. Multi-session courses and combined office-and-home packages are also available.

Implants restore missing teeth with a natural look and function. We use Osstem and Straumann implant systems, and also offer optional procedures such as bone grafting. We propose the treatment plan best suited to the condition of each patient’s mouth.

In addition to insured dentures, we offer a wide range of self-pay dentures with superior appearance and fit. Depending on your preferences, you can choose from options such as non-clasp dentures, which have no visible metal clasps, and metal-based dentures, which are thin and comfortable.

Our preventive dentistry and teeth cleaning service uses specialized equipment for careful cleaning, helping prevent cavities and periodontal disease before they start. In addition to insured cleaning, we offer options such as PMTC and Airflow. Regular maintenance helps you keep your mouth healthy for a long time.

We also offer a range of other self-pay treatments, such as regenerative therapy for periodontal disease and gum peeling. We propose the treatment method best suited to each patient’s wishes and budget.

Payment Methods

Our clinic offers several payment methods to suit each patient’s convenience. These are available for both insured and self-pay treatment.

Besides cash, we accept credit cards (JCB, AMEX, VISA, Mastercard, Diners, DISCOVER), and e-money and QR-code payments (PayPay, Alipay, WeChat Pay, iD, transit IC cards, Rakuten Edy, WAON, nanaco). We also support international payment services such as Alipay and WeChat Pay, so patients visiting from overseas can pay without worry.

For higher-cost self-pay treatment, dental loans are also available. A dental loan is a financing plan specifically for dental treatment, with lower interest rates than credit card installments, helping to keep your monthly payments down. It is often used for treatments that require a large lump sum, such as implant treatment or clear-aligner orthodontics.

Payment Methods

If your annual medical expenses exceed a certain amount, you can claim a medical expense deduction on your tax return. Dental treatment costs can also qualify for this deduction, so please keep your receipts in a safe place. Both insured treatment and self-pay treatment undertaken for therapeutic purposes may be eligible.

Common Questions About Fees

Can I find out the total cost of treatment in advance?

Yes. We provide a detailed estimate when we explain your treatment plan. For self-pay treatment in particular, we explain the treatment and cost in detail, and begin treatment only once you’re satisfied. For insured treatment too, we can give you an approximate cost, so just ask.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes, a dental loan is available. It lets you receive treatment while keeping your monthly payments manageable, so just ask us if you’re considering higher-cost self-pay treatment. The approval process can take a few days, so we recommend applying before treatment begins.

Can insured and self-pay treatment be combined?

In principle, insured and self-pay treatment cannot be performed on the same tooth at the same time. However, it is possible to combine insured and self-pay treatment across different teeth. We propose the treatment plan best suited to each patient’s wishes and budget.

Is there a warranty on ceramic treatment?

Our ceramic treatment comes with a 5-year warranty. It is 100% covered for the first 2 years, after which the coverage rate changes. Receiving regular maintenance is a condition of the warranty. We will explain the details of the warranty before treatment begins.

Can I come in just to talk about fees?

Of course. We go over your questions about treatment and cost in detail at your first visit, so just ask. If you have any concerns about cost, talk to our staff. We’ll propose a treatment plan and cost that fit your individual situation.
