About Our Facility Standards
What Are Facility Standards?

Facility standards are requirements set by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to protect the quality and safety of medical care. When a clinic reports that it meets these standards, it becomes eligible to charge certain additional fees set under the system.
歯科ハミール高田88 meets the facility standards listed below, giving us the systems in place to provide safe, high-quality dental care. This page explains, in plain terms, the standards we’ve registered.
Infection Control Standards
The Standard Set Out in Note 1 of the Dental Initial Consultation Fee
We have a solid system in place to prevent in-clinic infection. Every full-time dentist and staff member has completed specialist training in infection control and has the knowledge and skills this requires.
Our Infection Prevention Measures
- Every instrument is sterilized between patients
- Disposable items are used wherever possible
- Treatment chairs and the waiting room are cleaned and disinfected on a regular schedule
- Staff follow thorough hand hygiene practices
- Air quality is maintained through proper ventilation
Together, these measures give you a clean, reassuring environment for your treatment.
Safety Management Standards
Dental Outpatient Treatment Environment Fee
In case of an emergency, we keep the following equipment on hand.
AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
This device is used in emergencies such as cardiac arrest. Our staff take part in regular training so they are ready to use it in an emergency.
Pulse Oximeter (Blood Oxygen Monitor)
Clipped onto a fingertip, this device measures the oxygen level in your blood. We use it to monitor your overall condition during treatment, and it plays a key role when treating patients with systemic conditions.
Oxygen Supply Equipment
We keep oxygen equipment for emergencies. Its use depends on the dentist’s assessment of the patient’s condition.
Blood Pressure Monitor
We check for changes in blood pressure before and after treatment. For patients with high blood pressure or heart conditions, we monitor blood pressure throughout to keep treatment safe.
Emergency Medical Kit
We keep a full set of instruments and medications on hand in case emergency resuscitation is needed.
Our Approach to Medical Safety
Every staff member completes training in medical safety and keeps their knowledge of accident prevention and emergency response up to date. We’ve also built working relationships with other medical institutions, so that cases we can’t manage here, or that need systemic management, can be referred promptly.
Digital Care Standards
Medical Information Acquisition Fee
We’ve introduced an online eligibility system that lets you use your My Number Card as health insurance ID. It provides an instant check of your insurance eligibility, which speeds up check-in, and it also lets us see your treatment history and prescription records, so we can plan more appropriate treatment. Since it can also show health checkup data, we can take your overall condition into account as well.
Please bring a My Number Card registered for health insurance use or a Certificate of Eligibility to reception. The previous health insurance cards expired on December 1, 2025.
Medical DX Promotion System Fee
We promote digital healthcare and have introduced the following systems.
- Online insurance eligibility system
- Electronic medical records
- Digital X-ray and CT image management
- Digital impressions with iTero
- Electronic prescription system
These digital tools support accurate treatment records and prompt, high-quality care.
Treatment Transparency Standards
Itemized Statement Fee
We value being transparent about your treatment. Every patient receives, free of charge, an itemized statement showing what was done and what each item cost.
The statement gives you a clear breakdown of your treatment. If you do not want one, let reception know.
Our Approach to Prescriptions
Generic-Name Prescribing
When prescribing medication, we sometimes write the prescription by the name of the active ingredient rather than a specific manufacturer’s brand name. Prescribing by generic name means that, even if one manufacturer’s supply runs short, a different maker’s version of the same ingredient can still be provided. It also makes it easier to choose a generic medicine, which may help keep your medication costs down.
We explain what we’re prescribing before we do, so just ask if anything is unclear. If you would prefer a generic medicine, or would prefer the original brand-name version, just let us know.
Working Toward Continuous Improvement

We will keep improving: training our staff, introducing the latest equipment, and strengthening our ties with partner institutions. Every day, we work toward being a dental clinic our community trusts and feels at ease visiting.
If you have any questions about our facility standards or how we run our clinic, just ask any member of staff.
