About 0.3–0.5mm of the tooth surface was removed before bonding thin ceramic shells (laminate veneers). The veneers changed the tooth color beyond the result of whitening alone and adjusted tooth shape and the appearance of alignment.

Risks & side effects
A small amount of healthy tooth surface must be removed. If strong force is applied, such as from your bite or teeth grinding, the veneer may crack or come off. Temporary sensitivity may occur after treatment.
