Angel Veneer to close a front-tooth gap and match tooth color without tooth preparation

Treatment

Ultra-thin ceramic shells (Angel Veneer) were bonded without tooth preparation in this case. A shade guide was used to match the patient’s teeth. The veneers closed the front-tooth gap (diastema) and changed the tooth color. No anesthetic was used in this case, and no pain was reported during treatment.

Risks & side effects

Because it is bonded onto the tooth, it adds a small amount to the thickness of the original tooth. After treatment, you may be more likely to notice discomfort around the mouth or against the tongue. Because an ultrathin material is used, it may crack or come off from a strong impact or unconscious clenching.
