Treatment
Full-arch orthodontic treatment used Invisalign, a clear, removable aligner system. An iTero 3D scan was used to plan tooth movement. A sequence of aligners corrected the crowding without extraction. Interproximal reduction (IPR), the removal of a small amount of enamel between teeth, created space for alignment.
Duration & visits
Treatment period: about 1 year. Number of visits: once every 1.5 to 3 months (follow-up and receiving aligners)
Cost
Total ¥880,000 (tax included) (breakdown: Invisalign Standard package). *The cost of a retainer may be an additional charge.
Risks & side effects
If you do not keep the aligner on for at least 20 hours a day, your teeth may not move as planned and treatment may take longer. At the start of treatment or when switching to a new aligner, you may feel a tightening pain or discomfort in your teeth. After treatment, wearing a retainer is essential to prevent the teeth from shifting back.
